2016 Legacy's First Annual Winter Clothing Drive

Please donate your gently used winter coats, boots, gloves and snow pants for a good cause this winter. To make donating easy, we will collect your winter clothing right here in Legacy, and get it into the hands of a reputable charitable agency for distribution to those in need.

Drop Off Times and Dates:

Dates: Thurs Dec 1st through Wed Dec 7th, 2016

Times: Mon-Fri 7 PM - 9 PM and Sat/Sun 9 AM - 12 PM

Where: 2 Juneberry Ave (near Legacy/Russell Jarvis)

The LCRA is proud to be leading the way into the holiday and winter season by coordinating our very first winter clothing drive. At the dates/times/location above, our event coordinators will be collecting your gently used:

• • Winter coats

  • Winter snow pants

  • Boots

  • Gloves/mittens

Please ensure that all of the items are clean and usable, and limited to the items on the list above (specifically we will not be able to accept hats or scarves).

This year our donations will be provided to Blue Door Shelters (www.bluedoorshelters.ca), a well-known York Region charitable agency that provides safe and supportive emergency shelter and services for people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless.

The LCRA thanks all the participants, in advance, in yet another community event sponsored by the LCRA – ‘By the Community for the Community’. For the small fee of $20 per household and a few minutes to fill out a membership form, you can make difference to your community.
